  Treking

Trekking is a term applied to overland journeys made on foot, usually involving the support of a trek crew to carry personal belongings and whatever may be required. Over time, this concept of trekking has evolved and now encompasses everything from trips into true wilderness areas, carrying along any tents, food and cooking equipment that may be required, to shorter holidays, staying in guesthouses and hotels and involving a series of day-hikes. Regardless of  the nature of trekking you undertake you can be sure you’ll enjoy breaking out of your day-to-day routine to walk through exotic landscapes and experience different cultures.
Although all of our treks are very different in their nature, difficulty and objectives and each day is different, considering the weather, general pace of the group and length of the days walk but typically you can expect your days in the great outdoors to go something like this….
Your day begins with a wake up tea/ coffee at around 6 to 6:30 in the morning. You will be then provided with a bowl of warm water for washing. You will have plenty of time to get up and pack your duffle bag before sitting down to a hot breakfast. During this time the porters will be given their loads and if camping the camp is struck down and the porters given their loads.
Then you will hit the trail after breakfast in the pleasant cool of the morning and usually walk for about 3 to 4 hrs before you stop for lunch. While on the trail you are free to walk at your own pace and to take as many photographs as you wish.  Lunch usually takes an hour to an hour an half. On Lodge/tea house treks, food is ordered in the lodge and for camping treks the cook and the kitchen crew will have prepared a hot lunch.. During the afternoon our porters will usually overtake the group, aiming to reach the camp before our arrival by 3 or 4 p.m.. Tea/ Coffee and snacks will be served on arrival to the camp. We have selected lodges keeping hygiene and comfort in mind, where you will sleep for the night and as for camping treks we may camp close to a lodge or, enabling you to use any facilities.
Dinner is usually ready by early evening and is a 3-course meal served in the mess tent. After dinner, it is a great time of day for reliving the events of the trek so far, planning the next day’s activities and for general socializing
